Write your report for last week’s field trip

Last Thursday , we had a field trip,  it's about Job Fair at the Canada Job Expo at North York Memorial Hall and visited the NY library.

The Job Fair was opened from 11 am .Some of students were absent, about 12 students went there.

I went there around 11:15 am. When I arrived  I saw there were many people inside. There were some companies need to hire someone who is fit their requires. I talked with some company's staffs who I was interested in they provided the jobs, but every staff told me that I need to learn English well first,than finding a job.

Some colleges provide some causes ,after these causes you  can get some certifications that are very useful to find a good job.I  wanted to register ,but I was told I  need to pay much money ,so I told them I need to think first than making a decision.

 Community centers provide some free causes and training,but all of them I don't like .

There was a workshop in other room.It was about how to find your interesting job.

At about 12:30 , after we took a picture at the Job Fair gate , we visited the NY library following our teacher Joseph . It is above the Job Fair.I have not been to the library before. Joseph  introduced it  when we were  visiting the whole library.The library is very big, there are many various newspapers ,magazines , books , CD and others, there are many small rooms for learning and reading.

We finished the field trip around 1:30 pm. This is my first time , I like it because I got many information from the job fair.

Reading and Writing: Having an Overbearing Father, write about your experience.

Before I share my experience of parenting, I want to  make a comment  about the dialogue between the father and the daughter.
I think the father is too strict.His daughter is 17 year-old, she already has the ability to distinguish the  right from wrong, as a father, he should not be too much interference in many things of his daughter.
I only have a son. When he was a student in a second school, he had a crush on network game, sometime even forgot to do his homework. I told him I was very angry because played game too much would be a bad effect on his studies.I gave him two choices: gave up his studies and find a job or learn to control himself, just played the game of two hours every day.After two days,he said to me,he chose the second. I said I believed to him. In half a year later, although he sometimes played the game more than two hours, but as long as I reminded him, he immediately stopped playing game.
Like most teenage,in high school,my son fell in love, he  dated a girl at  weekend.After I knew it ,I didn't prevent him dating the girl, I only told him that he had to study hard every day,don't affect the A lever exams.He promised to he could do it.In the end of his high school, his examinations were all very well except  geography.
I think ,as parents, we should  believe  our child  at first,  than we will give some suggestions to them when they need. We shouldn't be too serious, and should learn to make friends with them.

My Hiking

I like living in Toronto  because  there are many trails for hiking. I hike with my husband and my friends on Saturday or Sunday every week since my family moved to Toronto.
Last Saturday, we went hiking to Beachfront Park. We at first drove to 195 Rouge Hills Dr where was our assembling place. It took us a half  an hour by car.There were about 50 persons when we arrived there at 12:20 pm.
Niu is our tour guide, he is from china,too.He has been to Canada for more ten years. He has guided for the Chinese for free twice a week (every Saturday and Sunday , the whole year)since 2010. Last year , one of my friends told me  the news, my husband and I began to hike following him once a week, Saturday or Sunday. Niu is a very accommodating.
We began to hike at 12:30 pm.We walked along Waterfront trail. As we walked along the road, I chatted with my friends while enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way, we had a shot bread time for eating and drinking during this time. Our destination is Beachfront Park at Frenchman's Bay. We arrived there at about 3 pm.
The Beachfront Park is a large and beautiful place.There are many people enjoy visiting there. Some old couples like sitting on a bench and watching surrounded by the pretty scenery, single man or woman like jogging, all the children like playing in the playground, some families enjoy for a picnic in the park.

 We free activities there about half an hour. Most of us walked around in the park, and others took a rest sitting in  benches ,talking,eating,drinking......We took some pictures. This is one of pictures of Beachfront Park.

 We walked back at 3:30 pm, almost after 3 hours, we arrived at  our parking lot.
Although all of us are exhausted, but very happy.

Hi, every classmate, my name is Linda.  I am from Suzhou city, Jiangsu province, China. I have been to Canada for two and a half years. Before I came to Canada, I had lived in Singapore for fifteen years. I'm married and I have a son, he is a student of University of Toronto , my husband works in a elevator company, we live together in Toronto.

I'm interested in reading ,listen to music and exercise, especially swimming and hiking. I swim two to three times a week and I hike  once a week, three to four hours at a time, on Saturday or Sunday.
